We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Leader to oversee construction projects and lead a team of skilled workers. A Hutcherson Construction Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing the installation and repair of decks, siding, and related projects on residential and commercial buildings. A successful Crew Lead is responsible for leading a team of crew members and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills and a solid understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The Crew Leader will be responsible for coordinating tasks on the construction site, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the installation and repair of decks, siding, and related projects.
  • Lead, assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure the efficient use of resources to crew members.
  • Ensure that all work is completed within established timelines and to the highest quality standards.Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet goals.
  • Train and mentor crew members to improve their skills and performance.
  • Manage crew members, holding them and yourself accountable when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and enforce safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate the need to order materials and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including daily reports, work orders, changeorders, and project records. Utilize CRM and electronic communication as required.
  • Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Enforce and promote safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to ensure compliance with allsafety regulations and guidelines.
  • Participate in safety and leadership development as applicable.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of three years of leader experience in a construction environment preferred.
  • Experience with hand and power tools preferred.
  • Other Applicable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • A valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation are required of this role
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to stand, walk and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
  • This role operates mostly outdoors and is required to work 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • This role may be required to work extended hours and weekends to meet the needs of the business.
